Janis Research Company is seeking an individual who will be responsible for the hands-on assembly and testing of cryogenic products including helium-3, dilution refrigerator and other cryogenic systems. Candidates should have all basic knowledge of, and good experience with basic scientific instrumentation skills such as low temperature wiring, low temperature thermometers, mass spectrometer leak detectors and ultra-high vacuum procedures. This position requires a minimum of four years’ experience working with laboratory cryogenic equipment in a research or industrial environment. Solid knowledge and experience on the operations of ultra-low temperature products, such as helium-3 cryostats, dilution refrigerators and superconducting magnet systems is also required. The position will require travel to domestic and international locations for product installation after proper internal training. This is NOT a research position as the technician will be working in a manufacturing environment. Willing to train the right candidate.
