Automated Control Box
Now Available for
Model JDR Dilution Refrigerators
January 2007
Janis Research is pleased to introduce its new Automated Control Box (ACB) for
JDR dilution refrigerators. This system is based on microprocessor architecture with multiple input and output modules, including a 10” color touch-screen display. The display is located on the front panel of a 19” Doubleprorack enclosure from Knürr, while the Pfeiffer solenoid valve manifold, sensors and auxiliary/optional equipment are placed inside. The remote pumping station control unit, including on/off and safety interlock features, is operated by signals from the ACB.
The JDR-100 operator can switch on/off any valve in the ACB or start/stop its pump by depressing the corresponding fields on the touch-screen graphic flow diagram (in local mode). The flow diagram (similar to the picture shown) illustrates the open/closed condition of the valves – green for open, red for closed. Both pressure and flow data are displayed on the same Main diagram page. Built-in routines allow different regimes such as mixture condensation, cleaning or circulation (shown as F1 and F2 on the picture). All data and functionality are available via computer interface, and a Labview program can be used while in remote mode.
