Model 6T-CF-ST-500
Superconducting Magnet
Variable Temperature
Microscopy System
January 2007
Janis Research is pleased to announce that it is offering a new
6.5 / 7 Tesla superconducting magnet variable temperature microscopy system which combines a high special stability ST-500 cryostat with a 6.5T / 7 T superconducting magnet. The proven
ST-500 cryostat's low vibration technology (originally designed for high spatial resolution optical microscopy) provides outstanding sample positional stability. Recent long term measurements (at the University of Oxford while performing single QD
spectroscopy experiments) on a standard ST-500 cryostat show a typical drift of
approximately 2 nm/minute.
The magnet cryostat offers a 42 mm
clear vertical bore providing easy movement of a 29 mm OD microscopy cryostat
extension within the bore of the magnet. This allows the user to scan a 13 mm
diameter region of the sample placed at the magnet center line, located
approximately 93 mm under the top flange of the magnet cryostat.
System features:
- 6.5 / 7 Tesla vertical bore
superconducting magnet
- 24 hour cryogen hold time
- 42 mm ID room temperature bore
- Ultra low drift
ST-500 microscopy
cryostat
- Temperature range from 3.5 to 325
K
- Precision XYZ translation stages
- Full viewing of 16 mm diameter
sample
