Dilution Refrigerator Stage

Janis Research is now providing a modular dilution refrigerator (DR) stage that can be customized to match a variety of experimental configurations. The photograph below shows an example of such a stage with a still, intermediate & mixing chamber plates and supports, to match an existing cryostat. This special unit still maintains the intrinsic heat exchangers of the basic model JDR-100 refrigerator, and offers the same high cooling power.

The construction of the JDR-100-SP refrigerator uses reliable plasma / TIG welded and silver soldered joints at the various stages, with a few demountable joints at the flow impedances for easy accessibility. A custom UHV compatible version, which employs ultra low vapor pressure solders and joint designs, is also available upon demand.
