SuperTran Cryostats for FTIR Spectrometers
August 1998
This installment highlights the SuperTran and SuperTran VP cryostats adapted for use in FTIR spectrometers (such as those from Bomem or Bruker).
The specifications for the Model ST-100-FTIR and Model
STVP-100-FTIR cryostats
are the same as our standard model ST-100 and STVP-100
cryostats, but with the ability to manipulate between samples. The cryostat is attached to the spectrometer via a leak-tight mounting flange (which can be made adjustable to fit several different spectrometers). Multiple samples can be rotated/translated in and out of the infrared beam via translation stages (optionally equipped with precision manipulators). The windows are selected according to the spectral range of interest for the experimenter, and can span the whole near-visible to far-IR region and millimeter wavelengths! Both cryostats feature the same performance and efficiency our customers have come to expect from the
SuperTran. Contact Janis today for details!
