He-3 Vibration Isolated SPM Magnet System
Model HE-3-TLSUHV-SPM

October 1999

A top loading, vibration isolated He-3 superconducting magnet system has been designed and built for experiments using a Scanning Probe Microscope (SPM). The SPM is top loaded into a sample tube, that is mechanically isolated from the He-3 cryostats, with flexible high thermally conducting links to a 100 K stage, a 4 K stage, a 1 K stage and finally a 0.3 K stage. The ultimate temperature of the microscope cooling stage is 320 mK. The system includes a 12 T / 14 T superconducting magnet suspended in a superinsulated liquid helium dewar to further reduce the transmission of vibrations to the microscope stage. Contact Janis today for more information about this latest development in low temperature high field scanning microscopy. Click here to view our complete line of He-3 cryostats.
