Sumitomo (SHI) Cryocoolers

Sumitomo acquired the cryocooler and cryopump business of the Daikin company in 2005.  One of the cryocooler products acquired was the line of Gifford-McMahon (GM) refrigerators with a Joule-Thomson (JT) third stage, that were primarily designed for radiotelescope astronomers.  These three stage cryocoolers have high cooling power at 4.3 K as well as very stable temperatures at the third stage.
