HE-3-SOSV Optical Cryostat - Standard Sample Loading, Sample in Vacuum
Overview
The model HE-3-SOSV cryostat is designed for standard sample loading with the sample in vacuum. This cryostat provides optical access to a He-3 cooled cold finger.
Standard Configuration
The model HE-3-SOSV cryostat provides optical access to a He-3 cooled cold finger. It is designed for standard sample loading with the sample in vacuum. The sample is typically attached at the bottom of the He-3 pot in the cryostat vacuum space and optical windows are installed on the vacuum shroud and the radiation shields. The path for the light beam to the sample may be totally in vacuum (i.e. not through any cryogen), while it is more cost effective if a path of light beam through the cryogen is acceptable.
