Cosmin Radu

Application Scientist

With Lake Shore, I found out what I do best and it’s because I find it personally rewarding. I train and motivate bright people. They ask me “how”? and “why?” because they know that there is something there that waits to be unveiled.
Cosmin Radu
Dr. Cosmin Radu, an Applications Scientist with Lake Shore, has been with the company since 2009. He received his BSc in Physics and MSc in Medical Physics from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Romania and a PhD in Engineering and Applied Science with a major in Physics from the University of New Orleans. His advisor was Professor Leonard Spinu of the university’s Advanced Materials Research Institute. Since joining Lake Shore, Dr. Radu’s main focus has been on magnetic measurement systems and instrumentation. He has extensive experience with a wide array of magnetometer techniques (VSM, SQUID, AGM, etc.), and he regularly participates in scientific meetings and performs VSM and AGM installations and training for customers, both domestically and internationally.
